Often an engagement ring has a unique curved shape. The wedding band has to be specially made to fit flush with the engagement ring. Sometimes wedding bands are requested to fit either side of the curved ring. In this tutorial you will be shown how to make two matching bands also known as  contour or shadow wedding bands for a curved engagement ring on both sides of the ring. As a goldsmith you will sooner or later be asked to make a shadow band. This is a technique that can be applied to making stack rings to match a curved dress rings too. And you can made stack bangles to follow an existing bangle. The method remains the same.
