- This tutorial can be made in a standard smithing workshop. You will need:
- - Metal : silver or gold or other
- - 9.5 x 7mm Gemstone (6.5mm depth)
- - 2 x 3mm Round Gemstones
This instruction will show how to make a cathedral style ring. The wire shank forms the cathedral columns which holds the prong set square or rectangle bezel collet. To complete the design gems are set in the wire columns.
First the sqaure / rectangle bezel is made and the prongs are soldered on. Then the shank is formed in a swage block and shaped to fit the prong collet before soldering the parts together.
